Fun FIAT Adventures in El Paso - Part 2

Hello - it's me again. I'm just here to tell you about more "fun stuff" happening in El Paso.

Did you know this past weekend was the 11th Annual Elephant Festival at the El Paso Zoo? Forget sitting on your butt at home watching shark week, tell me about Savannah and Juno, our two Asian elephants at the zoo. To start the day, you can sign up to have breakfast with the elephants and experience a behind the scenes presentation with the elephant's trainers. You can also watch the elephants enjoy a bubble-gum flavored bubble bath, check out a video on Savannah visiting the dentist, watch the elephants beat down their very own pinata and participate in the elephant produce hunt.

I personally was able to participate in the produce hunt with the elephants, which was pretty cool. The elephant trainers moved the elephants out of their "living area" and brought us in to hide their food all around their exhibit. Apparently, they want to have the food "hidden" and scattered across the area because it's fun for the elephants and keeps their mind strong. One of the elephants kept peaking through a space in the rocks to see where everyone was hiding the food. When I was taking a picture next to the cheater, she reached through the crack and tried "cop a feel" if you know what I mean.

Fun FIAT Adventures in El Paso - Part 1

Being a native El Pasoan, I have heard this statement many times: "there is nothing to do in El Paso." I want to challenge that statement. Over the summer I, along with fellow FIAT-teers, plan to share some of our adventures in El Paso and surrounding areas. If you have suggestions on things to do, let us know. =)

I'll start with a super fun local event that we helped sponsor (yes, we're trying to help bring the fun to El Paso because this is our home too), Neon Desert Music Festival which was on May 25, 2013. Not only were there five stages all featuring a variety of bands and DJs, there were local vendors selling everything from jewelry to massages and artists painting huge works of art right in front of you. I'm not going to lie, it was pretty hot when we first got there at 2pm, but nothing beats a beautiful El Paso evening/night... NOTHING.

Neon Desert Music Festival 2013

This year, we are super pumped to be a sponsor for a great local event, Neon Desert Music Festival. This year's festival is still several days away, but we're already having fun. In fact, we have quite a few tickets to the festival and decided we'd share the wealth with our fabulous facebook and twitter families. Granted, you might have to do a few silly things to win a ticket, but it's totally worth it. Meet a few of our winners so far....

Tuesday May 14th
Being that Mother's Day was this past weekend, we want to make sure all of our moms know that we love them. Say hi to your mom, Judith. =)

Did you know we always have free water and coffee at our studio? We're fans of free. How about a water bottle chugging challenge to let everyone know? Thanks Cesar and Brenda.

Wednesday May 15th
 Sometimes water and coffee aren't enough though, and you really need a Diet Dr. Pepper. Thanks Carolina for bringing us that cold bottle of deliciousness.... yummm...

It should be no surprise to y'all, but in case you don't know - WE LOVE DOGS at Mack Massey FIAT. Nothing puts a smile on our face like a bunch of sweet doggy kisses. Thank you Arturo, Alex, Jonathan, Cynthia, Keri and Brenda for bringing your fur-babies to our studio. Doggy models: Bruno, Radio, Cerberus, Keiser, Zoey and Mami

Thursday May 16th
We get to see all sorts of IDs at the dealership, and we love it when we see you smiling in the picture. This is why we asked y'all to bring your ID with a pic of you smiling. Thanks Daffne!

We've been in El Paso for over five decades, and Mack Massey has always been known as the Car Man. We asked y'all to fill in the blank to this statement: "Mack Massey is the ______________." Not only did y'all remember the Car Man, but we also enjoyed reading all of your other funny responses...  Congrats to Melanie for being the first to respond with "the Car Man".

Friday May 17th
Friday-Funday, we wanted to laugh. Andrea and Raul told us two top-notch cheesified jokes.

Saturday May 18th
Our FIAT family member, Mashaya had a birthday this week, so Olivia and Carlos sang Happy Birthday to her, in English and Spanish! It was pretty snazzy.

Monday May 20th
We recruited a person to represent the EAST side, the WEST side and the NORTHEAST. They had no idea what they were going to do to compete until they got to the FIAT Studio. We had a donut eating contest; the first to eat four donuts won. In the end, we decided that everyone should win a ticket. Mario and Ceasar won tickets and Salvador, who finished his donuts first, won a VIP ticket (worth $150!).

Tuesday May 21st
Sometimes we have too much fun at our studio and Tuesday was one of those days. We gave away a ticket to Irvin Castillo for being the first person to re-create this picture.

Wednesday May 22nd
Originally we asked a Montwood Ram to bring in one of their yearbooks, but Andy Chavez from Del Valle challenged the Rams and won. Andy won a free ticket to Neon Desert. =)

Thursday May 23rd
We gave Nikki Snyder our last Neon Desert ticket because she was the first person to take a picture in front of our favorite local restaurant, Chicos Tacos.

We hope to see all of you at Neon Desert Music Festival. Here's some good stuff about the festival. =)

SEXY people...All around the world!!

We're totally lovin' the new video FIAT released with Pitbull and Arianna. When you first start watching, it looks just like the "Immigrants" commercial... But then, things get a little crazy. Instead of just showing the FIAT 500s jump in the water, we get to see Arianna cruising the ocean floor in a FIAT.

Then Pitbull makes his entrance with lots a "sexy people" all around him.

There are lots of fun surprises in the video, including a guest appearance from one of our other celebrity endorsers.... but we're not telling who it is. You'll have to jam out and watch the video to find out. =)

Celebrity faces of FIAT

Since the FIAT brand was re-introduced in the US in 2011, there have been several celebrities associated with the brand. One of the first celebs was Jennifer Lopez. In her first commercial, Jenny cruised around her block in a bianco cabrio with bordeaux top (aka, a white convertible with a red top;-). Then JLO helped introduce the coveted Gucci model.

 

 After JLo, FIAT gave us our favorite Italian seductress, Catrinel Menghia in the Abarth commercial. Catrinel, who is actually a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model from Romania, made another appearance in the next Abarth commercial with the very controversial Charlie Sheen. 

Then, one of my favorite singers, Pitbull paired with Arianna gave us the perfect tunes for the "Immigrants" commercial. Click the link below to watch the spot.
